RideMarket is a Canadian powersports marketplace operated by RideFirst Finance. You can browse dealer and private-seller listings and use standard marketplace features without submitting a financing request. Financing-related tools, where offered, are optional and separate from the marketplace transaction. By accessing or using RideMarket or another RideFirst Finance service covered by these Terms, you agree to be bound by them.
Section 01
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and RideFirst Finance ("RideFirst," "we," "us," or "our"), the Alberta-based business that operates RideMarket.
By accessing ridemarket.ca or ridefirstfinance.ca, creating an account, submitting or responding to a marketplace listing or inquiry, using an optional financing tool, or otherwise using a feature covered by these Terms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
General browsing of public marketplace listings does not require you to submit a financing request. Your continued use of the platform after any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Section 02
Description of Services
RideFirst Finance operates RideMarket and related powersports technology services. These may include:
- RideMarket Powersports Marketplace: A Canadian listing and discovery platform for new, demo, and pre-owned powersports units offered by participating dealers and private sellers.
- Marketplace Tools: Features that may include search and filtering, saved or compared rides, listing inquiries, private-seller listings, dealer showrooms, appraisal or trade-related tools, and other shopping or discovery features.
- Optional Financing Tools: Where available, users may choose to submit a financing request or related information so that participating dealer partners can follow up regarding financing options. These tools are optional and are not required to browse or use the marketplace.
- Dealer Platform Services: Software and operational tools made available to registered powersports dealers, which may include inventory management, CRM, deal-processing, marketing, and related dealer portal features.
- Informational Content: Educational, editorial, and informational resources relating to powersports, ownership, shopping, dealerships, and financing.
RideFirst Finance does not itself extend credit or make lending decisions through RideMarket. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time, subject to applicable law.
Section 03
Eligibility
RideMarket is intended primarily for users in Canada. Public marketplace listings may be browsed without creating an account. To create an account, submit a private listing, use features that require a binding submission, or submit a financing request, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
- Provide accurate and truthful information in all submissions
- Use the platform in compliance with applicable Canadian federal and provincial law
We reserve the right to deny access to or terminate accounts for users who do not meet applicable requirements or who violate these Terms.
Section 04
Your Account, Listings, Inquiries and Information
When you create an account, submit a listing, send an inquiry, request an appraisal or trade response, or use another interactive feature, you agree that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.
- Marketplace accounts: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it.
- Seller listings: Private sellers and dealers are responsible for the accuracy of listing details, including ownership, condition, price, specifications, availability, images, and other representations.
- Marketplace inquiries: When you contact a dealer or private seller through RideMarket, information you submit may be provided to that listing party so they can respond to your inquiry.
- Optional financing requests: If you choose to submit financing-related information, you authorize RideFirst Finance to use and route that information for the financing-assistance purpose disclosed at the time of submission, including to participating dealer partners where applicable.
- No financing requirement: You do not need to submit a financing request in order to browse RideMarket, compare inventory, save rides, or contact a seller through standard marketplace features.
RideMarket is a marketplace operated by RideFirst Finance. RideFirst Finance does not make lending decisions, does not guarantee financing approval, and is not the buyer or seller in a marketplace vehicle transaction.
Section 05
Optional Financing — Important Disclosures
The following disclosures apply only when you choose to use a financing-related feature:
- Financing is optional: Financing is separate from normal marketplace browsing, listing, saving, comparing, and inquiry activity.
- Not a lender: RideFirst Finance does not itself provide loans, extend credit, or make lending decisions through RideMarket.
- No guaranteed approval or rate: Payment estimates, calculators, example rates, or other financing information are informational only unless expressly presented as an offer by an authorized third party. Actual terms depend on the dealer, lender, applicant, unit, and other factors.
- Third-party terms apply: If you proceed with financing through a participating dealer or lender, that financing relationship is governed by the terms and disclosures provided by those third parties.
- Credit inquiries: A dealer or lender may require a credit bureau inquiry if you proceed with a financing application. Any required authorization or consent is handled as part of that third party's financing process.
- Consumer access: RideMarket does not charge consumers to browse marketplace listings or submit an initial financing request through the platform.
Section 06
Marketplace and Listings
RideMarket connects buyers with participating dealers and private sellers. The following terms apply:
- Listings are provided by third-party dealers and sellers. RideMarket and RideFirst Finance do not own, inspect, certify, or warrant a listed unit unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Pricing, specifications, mileage, availability, condition, ownership, photos, and other listing information are the responsibility of the listing party. RideMarket does not independently verify every listing detail.
- Any purchase, deposit, trade, financing agreement, delivery arrangement, or other transaction is between the buyer and the applicable dealer, seller, lender, or other third party. RideMarket and RideFirst Finance are not parties to those transactions unless expressly stated.
- Private-sale users are responsible for taking reasonable steps to verify the VIN, ownership, lien status, unit condition, and legitimacy of the transaction before sending funds or completing a purchase.
- We may remove, restrict, or decline a listing that violates these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, applicable law, or platform safety requirements.
Section 07
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use our platform for any of the following:
- Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Impersonating any person, business, or entity
- Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data from our platform without written permission
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the platform or its underlying systems
- Interfering with the proper functioning of the platform (e.g., DDoS attacks, injection attacks)
- Using the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Canadian federal or provincial law
- Posting spam, unsolicited communications, or fraudulent listings
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of access and may be referred to law enforcement authorities.
Section 08
Intellectual Property
Content and technology owned by RideFirst Finance and used across RideMarket and related RideFirst Finance services — including logos, design elements, text, software, graphics, and platform functionality — is protected by applicable Canadian copyright and intellectual property law.
Third-party listing content remains subject to the rights of the applicable dealer, seller, manufacturer, photographer, or other rights holder. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from RideMarket or RideFirst Finance proprietary content without prior written consent. Dealers granted access to feeds, tools, or other platform integrations do so under the applicable dealer agreement or permission granted to them.
Section 09
Disclaimer of Warranties
RideMarket and related RideFirst Finance services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RideFirst Finance disclaims all warranties, including:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Any warranty that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
- Any warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any content, listings, or calculator results on the platform
Section 10
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RideFirst Finance, as operator of RideMarket, and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, including but not limited to:
- Loss of income or profits
- Loss of data
- Damages arising from reliance on financing estimates, calculator outputs, or listing information
- Damages arising from transactions between users and third-party dealers or sellers
In no event shall our total liability to you for any claim exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the six months preceding the claim.
Some Canadian provinces do not allow exclusion of certain implied warranties or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.
Section 11
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RideFirst Finance, as operator of RideMarket, and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your submission of false or fraudulent information
- Any transaction you enter into with a dealer or seller through the marketplace
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
Section 12
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our platform shall be resolved in the courts located in Alberta, Canada, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
We encourage you to contact us first to attempt to resolve any dispute informally before initiating formal legal proceedings.
Section 13
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this document. We may also provide notice through the platform or by email.
Your continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform.
